They can be a little more difficult to learn in comparison to the Mei Tai, however they are a fantastic, secure and very comfortable carrier. I am now a Podaegi convert and addict as I find them great for keeping my son in a higher back carry (he is very nosy!). The Chrysalis Carriers Podaegi is a narrow blanket version of the carrier, as traditionally the blanket section would be long enough to wrap around the baby and the mother, however in our warmer climate, and for ease of use, the narrow blanket is more suitable.
- The straps are 180 inches in length and 5 inches wide, with padding running along 120 inches of length. This is to add extra comfort for mother and baby.
- The blanket section is between 18 - 21 inches in width depending on the decorative fabric chosen, and there are options of either a shorter or longer version of the blanket. This is something that is more down to personal preference than something that will affect the carries. (Please note that not all fabrics on our choices page can be used for the long blanket Pod).
The standard version of the carrier are approximately 25 inches in length, and the longer version of the carrier can range up to 40 inches depending on the fabric chosen (this is more relevant to the decorative panel pictures on some Pods)
All standard Chrysalis Carrier Podaegis are reversible to a plain black side in the same cotton drill fabric as the straps, and all seams are triple stitched and reinforced where necessary for additional strength.
Each Chrysalis Carriers Podaegi consists of the following:
- A reversible narrow blanket section, in short or longer lengths.
- Wide,lightly padded straps, padded enough to be comfortable, but not bulky, approximately 180 inches in length and 5 inches in width.*
- Re-inforced stitching on every seam, with extra re-inforcement around the straps joinings for added reassurance.
Each carrier comes with the following:
- A snap strap to wrap around your carrier when not in use to keep it tidy
- Instruction booklet with basic instructions for a few carries. More details instructions (with photos) are on our website.
