Chrysalis Carriers has been created through my own experiences of babywearing, and I have tried to create a sling that is comfortable for both child and wearer, updating with useful little additions, whilst maintaining their traditional feel. They are suitable to be worn comfortably on the front, side or back, from babies to toddlers.
All our carriers are made using strong cotton drill, and are triple stitched on every seam, with additional reinforcement in areas of extra tension. The strength of each type of carrier is demonstrated on my 11 year old niece taking a ride in a Mei Tai, and my 13 year old nephew enjoying his ride in a short blanket Podaegi!
The decorative material on my carriers are made from a wide range of different fabrics, depending on what catches my eye. As each sling is hand crafted I like to use a wide range of fabrics, therefore in most cases only a few carriers of each fabric is often produced, meaning that whichever colours or fabrics you choose, your carrier will often be of a limited amount or even unique!
I am also happy to provide custom designed carriers. Perhaps you have a particular piece of material you wish to use, or you want some personal additions to your sling, we will be happy to help you with this and help you create a sling which is perfect for you and your child.
